Charlotte, NC, June 24,
2002. Genius Babies (http://www.geniusbabies.com)
today announces a new baby registry service with a Partial Purchase feature
designed to simplify gift buying.
Expectant mothers can set up
a baby registry directly from Genius Babies’ web site using convenient
Add-to-Registry Buttons. Friends and
family can then login to the registry to view the list of selected gifts and
make a purchase. To avoid duplicate
gifts all purchases are automatically removed from the list. The baby registry can be used for a variety
of occasions, from baby showers to birthdays, and takes the guesswork out of
gift buying (see sample registry at
http://www.felicite.com/registry.cfm?demogb-11259)
Unlike traditional baby
registries, gift givers can buy either the whole gift or a part of the
gift. This way, customers can register
an expensive gift and have their friends share the cost.
“Our goal as a family-owned
business is to provide a level of service customers won’t find elsewhere,” says
Michelle Donahue-Arpas, Owner. “Adding
a baby registry service will help our customers avoid duplicate gifts and make
it more convenient for their friends to buy them a gift.”
The gift registry contains
many additional features such as an on-line photo album, RSVP service and
E-notification system. For example,
customers can use the online photo album to share pictures with friends and
family. They can send messages to
friends using the E-notification system.
To protect their privacy, an optional guest password can be assigned to
limit access.
Genius Babies selected
Felicite.com (http://www.felicite.com), to develop and operate its gift
registry system. Felicite.com is a
leading provider of private label gift registry systems for on-line and
off-line merchants. Its system can be
quickly integrated with a merchant’s retail store, web site or mail order
operations, and has a number of unique features such as partial purchase
(patent pending) and on-line photo album.
“We liked the convenience
and features offered by the Felicite.com system,” says Michelle. “Their system
was also easy to integrate with our yahoo store platform.”
Genius Babies is a
family-owned retailer of baby products.
It was founded in 1998 to provide the very best baby products available.
Genius Babies is the holder of the coveted 5 star rating by Yahoo and was
featured in Forbes Magazines, “Best of the Web” in 2001. In addition, it has appeared in such
national publications as the New York Times and Working Mothers magazine.
