BELLA ITALIA LAUNCHES NEW GIFT REGISTRY SERVICE WITH PARTIAL PURCHASE

Vicenza, Italy February 26, 2002. Bella Italia SRL (http://www.Bella-Italia.com) -- operator of the virtual mall La Gondola specializing in hard to find Italian products (http://www.lagondola.it/)  -- today announces a new on-line gift registry service.

Unlike traditional gift registries, the Bella Italia registry allows gift givers to purchase the whole gift or a part of the gift.  This way, customers can register an expensive gift (like the $379 La Pavoni Coffee Machine) and have their friends share the cost.

The gift registry also offers a free announcement page where customers can post information about themselves, an on-line photo album, and an RSVP service that simplifies party planning. (See sample registry at http://www.felicite.com/registry.cfm?bella-1877)

“This gift registry is part of our strategy of providing US customers with everything they would expect from a local store, but with an international flavor,” says Carlo Botteon, Marketing Manager for Bella Italia.  “With the partial purchase feature, customers can register a gift without worrying about whether it is something their friends can afford.  Our products are all shipped directly from Italy and make wonderful wedding presents.”

Bella Italia chose Felicite.com to develop and operate its gift registry system.  Felicite.com, based in London, England and Greenwich, CT, is a leading provider of private label gift registries for on-line and off-line merchants (http://www.felicite.com/top/merchant_opportunity.cfm).  Its system can be quickly integrated with a merchant’s retail store, web site or mail order operations, and has a number of unique features such as partial purchase (patent pending).

“We chose Felicite.com because they were the only company who could provide us with the system we wanted in a short time,” says Botteon.  “Because they do nothing but gift registries and have been in this business for many years, their system have many features that we would not have developed on our own.”

Bella Italia, established in 1997, helps established companies in Italy increase product distribution through the Internet.  One of the services they offer is the Virtual Malls la Gondola (http://www.lagondola.it/) and Expresso Coffee Shop (http://www.espressocoffeeshop.com/) where retail stores can develop an on-line distribution channel quickly and at low-cost.
